A contribution pathway with tangible outputs.

01

Build an evidence map

Prepare a searchable literature matrix covering population, cancer context, cardiovascular question, design, outcomes, limitations, and full source citation.

02

Clarify the measurement

Create a measure specification with numerator, denominator, time window, data source, missingness rules, and an interpretation note.

03

Teach what the evidence supports

Prepare a source linked presentation and a plain language learning resource for mentor review. Preserve reviewer feedback and the revision history.

Four stages of research learning.

  1. Orient. Confirm the assigned question, access permissions, supervisor, deliverables, and review process.
  2. Investigate. Conduct the approved literature search and document inclusion and exclusion decisions.
  3. Interpret. Compare study methods and limitations; explain where the evidence converges and where uncertainty remains.
  4. Present and refine. Deliver the presentation, receive review, revise the contribution, and document the next research question.

A mentor confirms assignments and permissions. Learner work begins with published literature and approved educational materials. Any participant data activity follows its own institutional and project approvals.

PURPOSE IN PRACTICE

Develop people while developing evidence.

The laboratory joins rigorous inquiry, distributed leadership, peer learning, transparent contribution, mentorship, and scholarly work that prepares future researchers to serve well.
