Research begins with a question. Its future depends on a place where people, evidence, and disciplined imagination can meet.

The Brown Virtual Lab is a national, fully remote research environment for the next generation of clinician investigators, scholars, and innovators.

Across distance and discipline, the lab brings clinical medicine, data science, innovation strategy, and translational execution into one living field of work.

Its research spans cardio-oncology and complex cardiovascular risk, longitudinal data science, predictive modeling, evidence first digital health, health equity, and the systems that allow strong discoveries to endure.

Trainees learn by contributing. They shape questions, design studies, review literature, interpret data, build manuscripts, and collaborate with colleagues whose perspectives widen the work.

Three guided pathways move from research principles to academic and industry collaboration and innovation in cardio-oncology.

Mentorship accompanies the process with rigor, ethics, accountability, resilience, and room for independent thought.

Here, publication is a foundation. Each completed study opens another question, another partnership, and another path from insight to practice.

Led by physician scientist and cardiologist Doctor Sherry-Ann Brown, the lab advances science shaped by clinical reality and prepared for the future of medicine.

The invitation reaches students, trainees, investigators, institutions, health systems, technology companies, and mission aligned partners ready to research, collaborate, and lead.
