Entry and role
Each participant receives a clear group, role, participation basis, local affiliation, purpose, expected contribution, working rhythm, project assignment, reviewer pathway, and status. Institutional participants retain applicable local supervision and authority.
Professional conduct
Participants prepare responsibly, communicate respectfully, represent evidence and uncertainty accurately, listen carefully, respond to review, honor deadlines, disclose relevant conflicts, and preserve the dignity, time, privacy, and intellectual work of others.
Confidentiality
Nonpublic project information, participant disclosures, unpublished ideas, drafts, data, methods, access information, institutional information, and working-group conversations remain confidential according to their source, markings, agreements, and project instructions.
Contributions and provenance
Participants contribute original or properly authorized material, maintain accurate sources, record material assistance, preserve versions, respond to correction, and provide enough evidence for contribution and authorship review.
Projects and templates
A reusable template supplies a working pathway. Each assignment receives its own scope, target recipients, dates, notes, linked project, authority map, readiness requirements, deliverables, and release decision.
Authorship and recognition
Authorship and recognition follow documented contribution, accountability, accepted standards, project agreements, and written review. Participation alone creates no authorship or publication entitlement.
Recordings and publicity
When recording or transcription is proposed, participants receive advance notice describing the tool, purpose, intended recipients, access pathway, and planned retention. The facilitator announces recording again at the beginning, confirms an affirmative choice from every attendee before recording begins, confirms the choice of late joiners, and records any request to pause, stop, or withdraw prospective permission. An unrecorded participation path remains available when feasible.
Permission for one disclosed meeting and purpose does not authorize quotation, testimonial use, public excerpts, profile publication, training data, research use, logo use, institutional identification, or public attribution. Each additional use follows a distinct permission record and every applicable institutional, ethics, privacy, contractual, and legal pathway. A laboratory lead cannot supply blanket permission for individual members. Participants may not create their own recording or transcription without written authorization.
Information boundary
Protected health information, identifiable patient or research-participant information, confidential datasets, authentication secrets, restricted manuscript text, export-controlled information, proprietary third-party material, and information supplied without adequate authority remain within separately approved secure systems and processes.
Meetings and asynchronous work
Asynchronous records carry routine progress, questions, decisions, handoffs, contributions, review, and support. Live sessions serve mentorship, methods, interpretation, relationship building, and decisions that benefit from shared presence.
Concerns and correction
Participants may raise questions, errors, conflicts, accessibility needs, confidentiality concerns, authorship concerns, safety issues, or conduct reports through the project steward or connect@drbrowncares.com. Records may be preserved for fair review and resolution.
Completion, withdrawal, and survival
Participation may conclude through completion, withdrawal, pause, operational need, institutional direction, or conduct enforcement. Confidentiality, ownership, contribution, audit, correction, and other continuing duties remain effective according to their terms.
